About SeePlayerInventory

Suppose you’re looking for moderation resources that allow you to look into what the users have in their inventory and add or remove items as you need. In that case, you definitely need the SeePlayerInventory plugin. It is an excellent admin tool that you can use to find out if someone has been using illegal items.

The plugin is as simple as described above. Thanks to the permissions, it doesn’t include any other complicated add-on, but you can modify who can use what features. For example, you can choose whether it should be available only for you or grant it to someone you trust.

Requirements and Compatibility

There aren’t specific requirements needed to get started with SeePlayerInventory. The plugin still receives support to this day. The most recent version was released in January 2021 and is compatible with Minecraft 1.16.

However, please note that older versions include support for legacy Minecraft builds. For example, it is possible to find SeePlayerInventory builds for Minecraft versions 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, and 1.15.

There are other versions for Closed Beta builds, too, if you’re interested. It is compatible with tons of versions, and we’re pretty sure that a 1.17 build will become available very soon.

How to Install

You can get started with SeePlayerInventory at any time by following the standard installation process. Follow these steps, and your server will be ready to start taking advantage of the new commands and features:

  1. Download the plugin from the files tab.
  2. Stop your server so you can complete the process without problems.
  3. Proceed to incorporate the plugin on your server’s plugin folder.
  4. Once done, please proceed to reload your server. You should be able to use the newly added commands and features. Enjoy!

This plugin is not complicated at all. Although the commands can be intimidating at first, you will get used to them in no time.

Generally speaking, the plugin allows you to open a player’s inventory by using the command /spi open inv <player>. This command will display that specific user’s inventory as if it was a chest, allowing you to remove or add items depending on the situation. It also includes commands for enderchests.
You can get the full list of commands and support for the plugin by entering the command /spi ?.

Once you install the plugin, you will have over ten new commands available to moderate your server further. It will only take you a few minutes to figure out how everything works.

Additional Information

SeePlayerInventory is an excellent tool if you want to make sure that every player is playing legally and that no one has been messing around with other people’s loot. This way, you can make your server a healthier and more entertaining experience for everyone.

Although the plugin’s pretty simple, it includes many commands that can be quite intimidating for someone that isn’t used to reading a lot. We recommend taking your time with it before getting started, so you can avoid having problems with it in the future.
