Are you looking for a plugin that allows you to filter bad words in your server? Perhaps “NNSwearFilter” can be a good option for you. It is the first plugin of its kind built using Neural Networks.
This plugin works exceptionally. It will be impossible for all players to “bypass” any of its settings as long as it is active. Furthermore, the plugin isn’t programmed to “block” specific words. Instead, it is meant to detect certain text patterns and censor them instantaneously. Hence, it is one of the most effective anti-swear filters you can choose for your server.
Remember that Neural Networks work as bots. Thus, it may present issues occasionally, although those can be fixed by “teaching” the network to do certain things. Unfortunately, as of now, this is only possible by contacting the developer.
Requirements and Compatibility
This plugin hasn’t been updated in almost four years. Thus, it is unlikely for it to be compatible with recent versions of Minecraft, as the only build compatible with it at the moment is Bukkit 1.12.
It is unknown if the project will be abandoned or it will be continued at some point in the future.
How to Install
If you believe this plugin would be a great addition to your server, you can try installing it at any time. Here are the steps you need to follow to complete the process:
- Download the NNSwearFilter.jar file.
- Drop it in your server’s plugins folder.
- Once done, please proceed to restart the server.
- That’s it! You should now be able to start using all the superb features that this plugin has to offer.
This plugin’s central feature is to block bad words in your server. The list can range from slurs to other typical “bad words” typical of this era. Although this doesn’t assure that players will be respectful to each other, it can regulate how they refer to other people.
“NNSwearFilter” will process all the messages through the network. Then, the network will proceed to analyze each character of the sentence. If it detects a pattern comparable to a swear word, it will ban the message.
As of now, the plugin only prevents the message from being seen by other players. The sender will receive a message notifying them that they just entered into the chat includes a swear word. However, as mentioned above, players can’t bypass this censorship by changing the word structure.
Although false positives are not likely to happen, it may be a thing in isolated cases, but it is unknown if the plugin will receive an update to fix all these issues soon.
As an extra note, the plugin also collects information using bStats. The collected data includes things like plugin and server versions, and all the data obtained is anonymous. However, you can always turn this feature off by changing the “enableStats” value to false in the configuration file.Download NNSwearFilet Plugin Now
